Corrections
A published article may need a correction. This channel lets you identify the information, provide evidence, and track your request using a reference number.
Reviewed 2026-10-05How to report an error
Provide the article URL, the information or paragraph in question, the reason for your concern, and a source that can be used to verify it. Check that the documentation relates to the same market, year, generation, and variant.
You can also report an incorrect photograph, an attribution issue, an inaccurate translation, or a calculation whose result does not match its assumptions.
How reports are assessed
Your request is logged and sent for review. It is checked against the published content and its sources. A difference of opinion alone does not constitute a factual error; new evidence may warrant an update.
If the discrepancy affects the meaning or a conclusion, the content requires further validation. If there is not enough evidence to support it, the content may be removed while it is investigated.
Types of changes
Typo: a writing correction that does not change the meaning. Update: relevant new information since publication. Correction: a correction to a substantive claim, figure, or interpretation. Removal: suspension of content that does not meet the publication criteria.
Substantive updates and corrections include a public note with the date and an explanation. The internal history retains the previous version and the reason for the change; the sender’s details are not made public.
Corrections in all languages
An error in the original content is reviewed before the affected translations are adapted. Versions from an earlier revision must not be presented as though they reflect the updated content.
Translation errors alone are corrected in the affected language. In the glossary, a change in meaning also flags the associations with articles that need review.
Tracking your request
The confirmation includes a reference number. You can quote it if you contact us again. The team records the status and outcome of the review. We do not promise response times that we cannot meet.
